Well, our season at home got underway this week with 2 runners last Monday. BAYRAQ ran at Kempton & WASHRAA ran at Wolverhampton. Unfortunately, BAYRAQ did everything wrong before his race, including kicking me whilst saddling him up!! He then pulled far too hard and never gave himself a chance! We'll put a line through that run and go again shortly. It was great that literally 5 minutes later, WASHRAA broke her maiden at Wolves. We just about got away with the sharp 7f around there as she just got her head in front on the line! She'll step up to a mile next time and it will be good to get her on the turf as well. NAADYAA then had her 2nd start last Wednesday at Lingfield. The race wasn't run to suit as they went slow then sprinted the last two and a half furlongs. She was only beat four and a half lengths so not a disaster! I think handicapping will be her best chance of winning a race.
HUKUM is back in work and we are looking at The Coronation Cup for his next start if there's juice in the ground. MINZAAL is hopefully going to get his season started at York on the 11th May, I've been very pleased with his preparation (fingers crossed)!!
I managed to pick up 2 new horses at the Breeze Up Sales last week, an Expert Eye colt & a Sioux Nation colt, which was great! Many thanks for their owner's support.
We're pretty quiet next week with very few entries"
